Most Kashmir itineraries treat Gulmarg and Sonamarg as day trips out of Srinagar, which makes sense when time is tight, but it also means you leave right as the light gets good and the crowds thin out. This package flips that. You actually sleep in Gulmarg for two nights and in Sonamarg for one, instead of driving back to Srinagar the moment the gondola closes.
We built this one with photographers and slower travellers in mind, the sort of traveller who would rather watch the sun come up over Apharwat Peak than tick off one more stop before lunch. If that sounds like you, or you simply hate the feeling of packing a bag every single morning, this package is worth a serious look.
Beyond the pace, the route itself is familiar, Srinagar, Gulmarg, Pahalgam, Sonamarg and a stop at Yusmarg on the way back through the valley. Nothing exotic has been bolted on here. What changes is how much time you actually get to spend standing still in each place, rather than photographing it through a car window.

Arrival In Srinagar And Local Sightseeing
Pickup from the airport or railway station, followed by a Dal Lake shikara ride, a stop at the Mughal gardens, and check in at your houseboat or hotel by evening.
Day 2
Srinagar Old City And Leisure Day
A slower second day exploring Srinagar's old city, local markets and the remaining Mughal gardens, with time built in to simply sit by the lake if you would rather.
Day 3
Srinagar To Gulmarg, Overnight Stay
Drive up to Gulmarg and check in for two nights, with the afternoon left free for the first gondola stage or simply settling into the meadow air.
Day 4
Gulmarg Leisure And Photography Day
A full second day in Gulmarg, with the option of an early start for the second gondola stage, a walk toward Alpather Lake, or nothing more than good light and a slower morning.
Day 5
Gulmarg To Pahalgam Via Srinagar
A scenic drive back through Srinagar and on to Pahalgam, checking in for a two night stay.
Day 6
Pahalgam Exploration Day
A full day around Pahalgam, usually spent at Baisaran meadow, Betaab Valley or Aru Valley, at whatever pace suits you.
Day 7
Pahalgam To Sonamarg, Overnight Stay
Drive on to Sonamarg and check in for the night, close enough to Thajiwas Glacier to catch it in better light than a rushed day trip usually allows.
Day 8
Sonamarg To Srinagar Via Yusmarg
A morning at Thajiwas before heading back toward Srinagar, with a stop at Yusmarg's meadows along the way.

Departure From Srinagar
